The raw material, as it is harvested and cleaned before cracking. It opens far more easily than a walnut and yields a high proportion of kernel.
Varieties: Ennis as the main one, with Tonda di Giffoni, Romana, Lange and Halls Giant.
Our hazelnut trees are young — the first orchard went in during 2019, after we had studied the plant, the climate and the growing itself.
