Fruits of Mandraki, Kerkini
Between a lake and a mountain
Three generations growing walnuts and hazelnuts in Mandraki, Serres. We harvest them, crack them and pack them here — they pass through no other hands.
Provenance
The processing line
One walnut, three grades
After cracking, the kernel separates. The half comes out whole and is called a butterfly; the quarter is the other half of it; the eighth is the crumb. Nutritionally they are identical. All that changes is how hard it was to get out.

Walnut butter
One ingredient: our own walnuts, ground. No additives, no preservatives, no sugar. The oil separates and rises — stir before use. That is exactly what tells you there is nothing else in the jar.
- 100% walnuts we grew ourselves
- Vegan and gluten-free
- In 200g and 400g jars
Our story
Our family
We did not move here. We are from here.
The first orchard went in during the early 2000s, with French and American varieties. In 2014 the son and the grandson decided to farm walnuts and hazelnuts and nothing else. Nothing else means there is no second crop to cover a bad year.
The family story
Philosophy
The soil first, then the tree
Cover crops that fix atmospheric nitrogen, less fertiliser, carbon held in the ground, and intervention only where it is needed. We watch the insects and the weather — we spray because the orchard asks for it, not because the calendar does.
